Bar Annual Sports Meet

JAMMU, Apr 2: The sixth day of the Jammu & Kashmir High Court Bar Association Jammu Annual Sports Meet 2026 witnessed vibrant participation and high spirits among members of the Bar.
MLAs from both Jammu and Kashmir provinces, including Arjun Singh Raju (Ramban), Sajjad Shaheen (Banihal), Reyaz Khan (Anantnag), Zaffar Khatana (Kokarnag), and Shabbir Kulle (Shopian), visited the cricket field, interacted with players, and appreciated the efforts of the Bar Association.
The day featured competitive action in both cricket and volleyball. In men’s volleyball, Team Six Strikers defeated Team Royals to clinch the gold medal. Meanwhile, in cricket, four teams advanced to the semifinals, scheduled for Saturday at the University of Jammu. The first semifinal will see Regal Star XI, led by Sidhant Gupta, face Friends Cricket Club, led by Ravinder Singh Chib. The second semifinal will feature Sachin XI, led by Sachin Sharma, against Team Pathania Cricket Club, led by R.S. Pathania.
Nirmal Kotwal, President of the association, along with Vice President Baldev Singh, General Secretary Pardeep Majotra, Joint Secretary Anshu Mahajan, and Treasurer Rahul Aggarwal, welcomed the MLAs and praised the advocates for their tireless participation and sportsmanship.
During the occasion, office bearers expressed gratitude to all members for their continuous support, which has been key to the success of the annual meet, celebrating camaraderie, competitive spirit, and the love of sports within the Bar community.
