JAMMU, Apr 2: Nineteen athletes from Jammu & Kashmir showcased their talent at the 18th National Kalarippayattu Championship 2025-26, held at Central Stadium, Trivandrum.
Bringing pride to the Union Territory, Geetansh Thakur won a Silver Medal in the Kaipporu Boys (-80 kg) category with an impressive performance. The J&K team was trained and accompanied by Danish Sharma, National Coach/ Referee and General Secretary of the Kalarippayattu Association of J&K (KAJK).
The athletes representing the Union Territory included Anandika, Aapurti Saini, Siya Bhandari, Mahima Sharma, Neha Koul, Janvi Manhas, Tejasvi, Danish Sharma, Danish Singh, Surya Dev Singh Manhas, Ashutosh Singh, Raju, Geetansh Thakur, Muhammad Abdullah Qazi, Sajan Shan, Himanshu Barwalla, Shah Ibrahim Abdullah, Akshit Thakur and Ankush Thakur.
