JAMMU, Mar 7: Saplings International School celebrated its Annual Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur, presenting a colourful cultural programme based on the theme “Waqt-Ek-Pal, a Moment.” The theme beautifully highlighted the contrast between traditional values and modern lifestyles, portraying how society has evolved while still preserving its cultural roots.
The programme was graced by Yasha Mudgal, Commissioner Secretary to Government, Cooperative Department, as the chief guest. Shiv Kumar Sharma, DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua range, was also present on the occasion, while Anwar Ul Haq, SSP Anti Narcotics Task Force, attended as the guest of honour.
The event began with a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp symbolising the formal inauguration of the celebrations. The ceremony was attended by Roopam Kaur Soni, Chairperson, Ajeet Singh Soni, Managing Director, and Amanpreet Kour, along with other eminent dignitaries.
Addressing the gathering, the guests appreciated the efforts of the school in nurturing young minds and stressed the importance of quality education, strong moral values and cultural awareness in shaping the future of children.
The highlight of the event was the captivating performances by the students of Pre-Primary and Primary classes. Through vibrant dance performances, melodious music and expressive acts, the young students depicted the theme “Old Times and New Times,” presenting glimpses of traditional lifestyles alongside the fast-paced modern world. The audience was enthralled by the energetic and graceful performances. Mementos were presented to the guests as a token of gratitude. The vote of thanks was delivered by Vasundhra Dube, Principal, DRS Kids, Chatha, and the programme concluded with the National Anthem.
