JAMMU, Feb 5: In a landmark move, J&K Sports Council, in collaboration with the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association, has engaged Vinod Kumar, renowned coach of Pro Kabaddi League team Jaipur Pink Panthers, to train and mentor the J&K Men’s Kabaddi Team ahead of national-level competitions.
The initiative aims to professionalise training, introduce scientific talent identification and prepare athletes for high-performance competition. Secretary, JKSC Nuzhat Gul welcomed the collaboration, highlighting that exposure to elite-level coaching will elevate the standard of Kabaddi in the region.
Dr Kuldeep Gupta, General Secretary of the Association, along with coach Vinod Kumar, discussed a roadmap for talent scouting and development with the Sports Council.
