JAMMU, Jan 6: The Shooting Ball Association of Jammu and Kashmir today saw off the Union Territory contingent as it departed for the 44th Senior National Shooting Ball Championship 2025-26, scheduled to be held at Sholapur, Maharashtra, from January 9 to 11.
A brief function was organized to encourage and motivate the players ahead of the national event. The ceremony was attended by Dr Puneet Gupta, general secretary of the Shooting Ball Association of J&K, senior social activist Manjeet Singh and veteran J&K athlete T P Singh, who interacted with the players and wished them success in the championship.
The women’s team comprises Kanika Sharma, Vishali Devi, Nirdosh Kumari, Aastha Sharma, Lavanya Mahajan, Survi Devi, Parul Gupta, Rushali Rajput, Nazish Akhter, Sheekha Thakur and Shalini Chaudhary.
The men’s team includes Abhay Raina, Waqar Younis, Mehrose Ahmed, Abhishek Singh, Ishant Sharma, Danish Sharma, Parkash Singh, Rudrakshit Gupta and Gourav Chibber.
