JAMMU, Dec 31: A five-day Winter Football Coaching Camp for young boys and girls concluded at Dr B R Ambedkar Stadium, Dehradun, with around 80 budding footballers participating. The camp aimed to enhance fundamental skills, improve techniques and provide structured training during the winter break.
Participants were divided into age-wise groups and trained under the guidance of current and former national footballers, along with qualified male and female coaches. The camp was organised through the collective efforts of Arun Malhotra, former Indian footballer and Technical Member of AIFF, senior footballers, and experienced coaches.
Neeraj Sharma, Head HR Services, ONGC, graced the closing ceremony and interacted with the participants. Arun Malhotra appreciated the enthusiasm, dedication, and keenness to learn shown by the young players throughout the camp. He emphasized the importance of such initiatives in nurturing football talent and strengthening grassroots development. He also expressed gratitude to ONGC and other supporting departments for their guidance and assistance. Footballs were distributed free of cost among the participants during the closing ceremony, leaving them motivated and encouraged.
