JAMMU”, Dec 22 : The third day of the Jammu & Kashmir UT Table Tennis Championship witnessed thrilling contests, outstanding sportsmanship and strong participation from across the Union Territory. Athletes showcased skill, determination and competitive spirit as the championship moved toward its final stages.
In the boys’ category, Ritvik advanced convincingly to the finals, defeating Eeshan by (3-0) in the Under-17 semifinals and Samarth by (3-0) in the Under-19 semifinals and defeated Saiyam Nischal in the Under-17 final and Pratham Raina in the Under-19 final. Arushika Dabar secured her spots in the Under-17 and Women’s finals after hard-fought wins.
In the girls’ category, Syrah clinched the Under-11 title by (3-0) by defeating Rithanya and Under-13 title beating Alena by (3-1), while Myrah won the Under-15 final, beating Syrah by 3-1.
The day also featured intense men’s matches, with Ankur, Vishal, Madhav, and Lakshay advancing in Round 1. Prominent dignitaries, coaches, and officials, including Ajay Sharma, Satbir Singh, and NIS coaches Gurvinder Sasan and Asad Sharma, attended the event.
