*6th District Doda Taekwondo C’ship from Dec 20

JAMMU, Dec 17: The 28th District Jammu Taekwondo Championships 2025 were inaugurated with great enthusiasm at the Indoor Hall, Bhagwati Nagar, here today. The two-day championship is being organised by the Taekwondo Association of District Jammu under the aegis of the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K Sports Council.
Around 400 players from 17 affiliated clubs and schools are participating. Medal winners will represent District Jammu at the 28th J&K UT Taekwondo Championships 2025–26. Anuj Sharma, Joint Secretary, J&K Taekwondo Association, graced the occasion as chief guest and encouraged athletes to uphold discipline and sportsmanship. The event is being conducted under the supervision of a qualified technical team led by National Referee Burhan Ud Din Khan, ensuring fair play and smooth conduct.
Meanwhile, Taekwondo Association of District Doda will organise the 6th District Doda Taekwondo Championships 2025–26 from December 20 to 21 at the Indoor Sports Hall, Doda, under the “My Youth My Pride” initiative, featuring sub-junior to senior categories.
