JAMMU, Dec 9: The Cluster University of Jammu (CLUJ) flagged off its Women’s Volleyball and Badminton teams for the North Zone Inter-University Tournament being organized by Integral University, Lucknow and CT University, Ludhiana.
Registrar Ankur Mahajan formally sent off the teams in the presence of Prof D S Manhas, Dean Students’ Welfare, and Dr Vinod Bakshi, Director, Physical Education.
The Volleyball team, coached by Shubham Mehta and managed by Shazia Qureshi, includes Simran Kumari, Krishma Charak, Manvi Rajput, Jiya Charak, Monika Bhushan, Pragya Sharma, Himani Dogra, Surbhi Manhas, Anuradha, Sanjana Devi and Amrita Kumari. The Badminton team, managed by Buneet Singh, comprises Rudrakshi Sharma, Tejasvi Sharma, Aena Gupta and Pallavi Sharma.
Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr.) K S Chandrasekar appreciated Dr Vinod Bakshi’s efforts and wished the team’s success, expressing confidence that they would uphold CLUJ’s sporting reputation.
