JAMMU, Nov 6: The 2nd Jammu & Kashmir Masters Games, organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Masters Games Association (JKMGA), concluded its chess event at Nek Hotel, here today. The tournament, conducted in affiliation with the Super Masters Games and Sports Federation (India), saw intense competition among veteran athletes under the supervision of Kuljeet Singh, Vice President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association (AJKCA).
In the Women’s Chess category, Guneet Kour claimed the Gold, with Shikha securing the Silver and Deepshikha the Bronze. In the Men’s section, Pardeep Singh took home the Gold, followed by Anil Abrol with Silver and Narinder Sharma with Bronze.
Baldev Raj, President of the All Jammu and Kashmir Chess Association, congratulated the winners and thanked the JKMGA for promoting competitive sports for veteran athletes.
Ranjeet Singh Chib, JKMGA President and veteran international handball player, highlighted the importance of sports in fostering discipline and teamwork. The 2nd J&K Masters Games continues across various venues in Jammu, with more exciting events in store.
