UDHAMPUR, Sept 30: The IRP 24th Battalion, in collaboration with DYSSO Udhampur, hosted the second day of the volleyball tournament at Mini Stadium, Udhampur, under the Civil Action Programme (CAP). Mohd. Aslam, Commandant IRP 24th Battalion, presided as chief guest, highlighting sports as a tool to combat drug abuse and promote youth leadership.
On Day 2, City Volleyball Club defeated Round Domail Club in straight sets (25-11, 25-19), while Udhampur Volleyball Club won against Aryan Oriental Volleyball Club (25-22, 25-19). Matches were officiated by Sanjay Sharma, Naveen Sharma, Sanjeev Verma, Amit Sharma and Rajesh Kumar. Cricket and badminton competitions will commence on October 4 to further engage local youth.
