Zone Reasi girls dominate in U-19 inter-zonal district level competitions

REASI, Aug 25: Displaying exceptional skill and sportsmanship, the girls from Zone Reasi emerged dominant in the Under-19 Inter-Zonal District Level Sports Competitions, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), Reasi. The competitions were held across multiple disciplines including Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Yoga and Chess, at General Zorawar Singh Stadium and the Indoor Sports Complex, Reasi.
The event was graced by District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Tarsem Singh, who attended as the chief guest and was accorded a warm welcome by Zonal Physical Education Officer, Asha Devi, along with activity incharges Kuldeep Kumar and Jagdev Singh.
In Volleyball, Zone Reasi defeated Zone Pouni by 2-1 sets, while in Kho-Kho and Kabaddi, they registered wins against Zone Arnas by 2 and 6 points respectively. In Table Tennis, Shreya Bakshi and Shallu Devi from Zone Pouni secured first and second positions. Chess saw Avineet Kour (Pouni) bagging the top spot, followed by Arti (Reasi) and Nazia Kousar (Arnas). In Yoga, Pallavi Thakur and Riya Kumar from Zone Reasi clinched the first and second positions respectively, with Divya Rajput (Pouni) securing third. The competitions were smoothly conducted under the supervision of DYSS-appointed technical officials.
