UDHAMPUR, July 29: On Day 2 of the District-Level Inter School Tournament for U-19 girls, organised by DYSSO Udhampur, energetic contests were held in Wushu, Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Kho-Kho, and Basketball trials. DYSSO Romesh Chander Mishra inaugurated the day, urging athletes to lead drug-free lives under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan.
The winners in different games were: Wushu winners – 40 kg: GHSS Chenani; 45 kg: GHS Tikri; 48 kg: Bhram Rishi Vidya Peeth; 52 kg: GHSS Chenani. Badminton – APS Udhampur (Champion), HSS Ramnagar (Runner-up). Kho-Kho and Chess – HSS Sewna (Winner), SCTM Udhampur (Runner-up). Table Tennis – SCTM Udhampur defeated APS Udhampur 2-0. Basketball – Selection trials were held. The dignitaries present on the occasion included ZPEOs Pushpinder Kour, Vijay Kumar and Jyoti Rani.
