KISHTWAR, July 27: The District Kishtwar Yogasana Sports Association organized the 6th District Kishtwar Yogasana Sports Championship at ITI Kishtwar, drawing enthusiastic participation from young athletes across the district.
The event was inaugurated by Anoop Sharma, Principal of ITI Kishtwar, as the chief guest and Parihar, Chairman of Ashiana Hostel (Orphanage), as the guest of honour. In his address, Sharma emphasized the role of Yogasana in developing discipline, confidence, and mental well-being among youth.
Competitions were held in both sub-junior and junior categories, with participants showcasing impressive skill, flexibility and dedication. Top honours in various categories included Vinkal Kumar (Sub-Junior Boys – Traditional), Tavishi Anand (Sub-Junior Girls – Traditional and Artistic Single) and Akash Kumar (Junior Boys – Traditional).
Artistic pair performances by Mohit Thakur & Aniket Rathore and Ananya & Tavishi, also captivated the audience. The District Association extended heartfelt thanks to all participants, guests, volunteers, and ITI Kishtwar for their support. The winners will now be considered for state-level competitions, further promoting excellence in Yogasana as a competitive and wellness-enhancing sport in the region.
