JAMMU, July 23: The Jammu City & District Badminton Association will organize the 40th Jammu District Badminton Championship from August 1 to 6 at Badminton Hall, MA Stadium, Jammu. The event is being held under the auspices of the Badminton Association of J&K and in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council.
Over 175 players from Jammu District are expected to participate in various categories, including Men’s and Women’s Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles; Junior Under-19 Boys and Girls Singles and Doubles; Sub-Junior Under-13, 15, and 17 Boys and Girls Singles and Doubles; and Mini Under-11 Boys and Girls Singles.
As per handout issued the interested players are requested to register their names with coaches Touseef Ahmad, Vikram Saini or Sukhdev Singh at Police Line Badminton Hall before the last date. Performances in the championships will be the main criteria for selecting players to represent Jammu District in the North Zone Interstate Badminton Championships and national-level selection trials for Sub-Junior, Junior, and J&K UT Badminton Championships in 2025.
