UDHAMPUR, July 12: ‘Youth Engage’ programme was successfully conducted at Subash Stadium here today under the aegis of Department of Youth Services & Sports, Udhampur.
The programme witnessed participation from various zones of the district in the age group of 15 to 29 years.
The event featured competitions in three cultural categories-Group Folk Song, Group Folk Dance and Declamation, aimed at promoting local talent and encouraging youth engagement through meaningful expression.
A total of 65 participants showcased their talent with zeal and enthusiasm.
The judgement panel comprised Pushpinder Kour (ZPEO Tikri), Jiwan Thakur (AIO Udhampur) and Sukhdev Kumar from Education Department. Addressing the gathering, AIO Jiwan Thakur shared insights on the evaluation criteria and applauded the efforts of all the participants.
The event was graced by Romesh Chander Mishra, District Youth Services & Sports Officer Udhampur, who was chief guest on the occasion.
He encouraged the youth to stay focused, lead a disciplined life and stay away from drugs.
