SRINAGAR, June 20: Government of J&K today ordered constitution of committees for the development of World Class Winter Sports Infrastructure in Gulmarg (District Baramulla) and Sonamarg (District Ganderbal).
The Committee for Gulmarg will have DC Baramulla as Chairperson and Managing Director JKCCC as Member Secretary while Chief Executive Officer of Gulmarg Development Authority will be its Member.
For the Committee of Sonamarg, DC Ganderbal will be chairperson, Managing Director JKCCC will be Member and Chief Executive Officer Sonamarg Development Authority will be its Member Secretary.
These Committees will provide winter sports facilities, including Skiing, enhance accessibility and amenities and ensure environmental sustainability.
The order further stated that these Committees shall submit a detailed report along with recommendations within one month from the date of their formation.
