Leh, June 21: The Pedal for Khyber Srinagar to Leh Mountain Terrain Biking (MTB) cycling expedition concluded, here today.
The final day journey was held from Khalsi to Leh which was 96-kilomtres distance and was covered by two riders Umer Nabi and Riyaz Wani in 5 hours and 58 minutes.
Team of Umer and Riyaz had started their expedition on June 18 and on first day covered distance from Srinagar to Sonamarg while on second day covered distance from Sonamarg to Kargil. The third day of the expedition was most hectic which tested mettle of both riders but they did not let the treacherous routes and passes like Namkila and Futola to dent their courage and determination.
At Leh team was received by Director CNE and well known Tour operator of J&K Nasir Shah, Director Himalayan Eco Adventures Ladakh Konchok Sharap, Thinlay Angchuk of Himalayan Eco Adventure,  Dr Sonam Angchuk of Central Institute of Buddhist Studies and International skier  Tsewang Rigzin.
The event was organized and sponsored by Khyber Industries Pvt Ltd and technical support was provided by J&K Sports Development Association.
