Under-17 Football Tournament commences

SRINAGAR, June 9: To explore the talent among the youth of the State especially for the sports activities, Directorate of Youth Services and Sports organized the Under-17 Football Tournament, which commenced in Srinagar today.
As many as 11 teams from the different districts of the State are participating in the tournament, which is being played on knock out basis.
The inaugural match was played between the teams of district Pulwama and Samba today which was won by the Under-17 Football team of Pulwama district.
In another match, Anantnag district defeated Kathua district at Higher Secondary School, Zadibal.
