JAMMU, Apr 4: Lions Cricket Club defeated Star Cricket Club by 2 wickets in the ongoing Navratra Cup 2014 T20 Cricket Tournament at Bhadrore Cricket ground, Ghou Manasan Road, here today.
Batting first, SCC bundled out for a paltry total of 63 runs in 15 overs. None of the batsmen crossed the double figure mark. For Lions Club, Anand Nagar, Dilip was the wrecker-in-chief, who took 5 imporant wickets, while Vijay scalped 3 wickets. Rinku and Vinod took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Lions Club chased he target by losing 8 wickets, thus won the match by 2 wickets. Jitender scored brilliant 25 runs, while Anuj contributed 15 runs to the total. Dilip was declared man of the match for his 5 wicket haul.
