JAMMU, Mar 28: In the ongoing 41st NTPC Senior National Archery Men & Women Championship-2022, the Indian Round Event was inaugurated by Executive Director NTPC, Rakesh Prasad as chief guest of today’s event at MA Stadium, here.
The championship is being organised under the aegis of Archery Association of India and J&K Sports Council.
A total of 1015 participants from 42 teams from different States/UT/ Boards of the country including international Archers are participating in the championship.
In 50 mtrs men, Ram Soren from Mizoram, Goldhi Mishra from Jharkhand and Resham Bahadur Budhathoki from SSCB secured top three positions respectively, while in 30 mtrs men, Thongam Heller Singh from Manipur, Goldi Mishra from Jharkhand and Tanay Damare from Maharashtra stood 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively.
In 50 mtrs women, Namita Verma of AIPSCB, Okram Naobi Chanu from Manipur and Banothu Divya from Telengana bagged top three medals, while in 30 mtrs women, Tutumoni Boro from AIPSCB, Banothu Divya from Telangana and Moiranthem Baby Devi from Manipur clinched top three positions respectively.
