Metro Prog Jammu 2013 from May 23

JAMMU, May 12: In order to inculcate the spirit of adventure, especially mountaineering, sport climbing and allied sports among the younger generation and to spread it to the nooks and corners of all the Northern states, Indian Mountaineering Foundation North Zone Committee in collaboration with Mountaineering Association of J&K will be organizing Metro Programme Jammu 2013 at various venues in Jammu from May 23 to May 25, 2013.
It is the first time that such a programme is being conducted by the IMF North Zone Committee at Jammu.
A debate competition, a seminar, a painting competition for students, an adventure films show, some interesting talks besides a sport climbing competition will be held during the 3-day programme which is likely to be attended by prominent personalities from the field of Adventure.
Seminar, debate and talks will be held at KL Saigal Hall in Abhinav Theatre, Jammu on May 23, 2013, while the painting competition, film show on adventure and sport climbing competition will be conducted at Sprawling Buds School, Chinore, Jammu on May 24 and May 25, 2013.
The members of the IMF North Zone Committee including the Chairman S Bhattacharjee, Mitra Ghosh, Amit Sharma and Tarun Roy besides the local member Shawetica Khajuria have already confirmed their participation for the prestigious event.
