JAMMU, Aug 18: Poonch District Taekwondo Academy (PDTA) players represented India in ISF World School Taekwondo Poomsae Championship, hosted by Nepal School Sports Federation under the banner of International School Sports Federation.
The championship was declared open by Jagat Bahadur Bishwakarma Youth and Sports Minister of Nepal in the presence Laurent Petnynka ISF president, Shiva Koirala Jwala, vice president National Sports Council of Nepal and Rajkumar Kharki chairman of the championship.
About 292 Boys and 268 Girls across the world participated in this mega event which was judged by international referees of Taekwondo.
Five players of PDTA who represented India in world championship included Khalida Jabeen and Manpreet Kour represented India in Female colour belt, whereas Vishvas Sudan, Vishnu Raina and Akarshit Sudan represented India in Male colour belt.
Chairman of the PDTA Pardeep Sharma congratulated all the players for representing India at ISF World School Taekwondo Poomsae Championship 2020. He also congratulated Rajinder Singh, official of DYSS for providing a platform to budding players of the Poonch.
