JAMMU, June 2: With a view to promote international connectedness, eight students of KC Public School are going to Skipton Girls’ School Yorkshire, UK on Students Exchange Programme.
The programme aims at imparting students a tremendous sense of accomplishment to develop independent opinions, make informed decisions and become aware of global issues. Through this programme students will learn to widen their horizons, accept cultural differences and develop a critical and analytical bent of mind.
Eight students led by Creative Head Sonia Thakur, who are participating in the programme are Apoorvi Gupta, Shreya Mohan, Manvika Gupta, Sahar Rohmetra, Akshita Mengi, Hardyal Kaur, Avantika Khajuria and Samaya Vaid.
In a special morning assembly, the students spoke at length about the objective of their visit.
Principal, Amarendra Mishra in his motivational talk said that it is a great opportunity for them to represent their school and that they must abide by positive school values which lay emphasis on innovative approaches that keep on emerging at a steady pace to face the challenges of global community.
