7th District Tennis Ball Cricket C’ship concludes at Kargil

KARGIL, Jan 8: Despite chilly weather conditions, District Tennis Ball Cricket Association, Kargil, under the aegis of Jammu and Kashmir Tennis Ball Cricket Association, organized 7th District Tennis Ball Cricket Championship, which concluded at Khree Sultan Cho Sports Stadium, here today.
In the final, District Police Kargil defeated Star Club by 7 wickets in an easy contest to lift the title.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, Stars Club scored a paltry total of 45 runs in 8 overs.
In reply, District Police chased the required runs in 6 overs and won the match by 7 wickets. Pawan of District Police was awarded as man of the match for his unbeaten 31 runs.
Additional Superintendent of Police, Jameel Ahmad was chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runner-up teams, while DySPs Abdul Khaliq, Ishtiyaq Kacho and Mohd Aslam and Gh Rasool ZPEO Chiktan were the guests of honour on the occasion. Rahul Malik, SP Kargil was the skipper of the District Police team.
