JAMMU, May 30: J&K Sports Bocce Ball Association selected 5 players for 3rd Bocce Ball National Championship to be held at Agra in Uttar Pradesh from June 2 to 5, 2019.
The Championship is being organised by Bocce Ball Association of India in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Bocce Association.
Bocce Ball is internationally recognized by International Olympic Committee (IOC) and has been included in Paralympics since 1984.
This will be the 2nd time J&K players will get the chance to play In Bocce National Championship.
On this occasion, Kavinder Gupta, former DyCM said that this type of sports activities will help the players to represent their State and country at national and international level.
The selected players include Gurvansh Choudhary (Dogra Hr.Sec School), Amritansh Raina (St Xavier Convent School), Pranay Gupta (Open Birla Minds Sports Club), Kartavya Gupta (SD Tara Puri High School) and Gurmanjeet Singh (Nanda Sports Club).
Sunny Nanda is accompanying the team as head coach.
Kavinder Gupta delivered few words to the participants, they blessed all the team players and said they have shown good performance at national level championship.
