JAMMU, Dec 4: Two day 4th District Jammu Kickboxing Championship, organised by District Kickboxing Association under the aegis of Kickboxing Association of J&K, commenced at Indoor Hall Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
About 200 players from various Schools, Clubs and Colleges are taking part in this championship, which was inaugurated by Yudhvir Sethi, BJP vice president. He interacted with the participants and witnessed the demonstrations presented by young boys and girls during the inaugural ceremony.
Earlier, Ajay Verma, District president of the Association welcomed all the dignitaries. This is the first Kickboxing championship conducted by the Association after getting recognition from the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Megha Rai, Jagpreet Kaur (Coach) and Sanjeev Jamwal, joint secretary of the J&K unit also graced the event.
