43rd KV Regional Sports Meet concludes

JAMMU, Aug 30: The 43rd Regional Sports Meet at various Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathans concluded, here today.
During the valedictory function at KV No. 1 Jammu, senior most Principal of the region, Sushma Thapar was the chief guest.
272 players along with 32 escorts participated in skating and chess events. The participants were drawn from 21 KVs of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kasmir.
School Principal Dr Chitra Mishra presented a welcome address, which was followed by the presentation of the prizes among the winners by the chief guest.
Meanwhile, the Regional Sports Meet of basketball and table tennis was held at KV No. 1 Udhampur, wherein Shiv Nirmohi, well known Dogri writer and retired Prof was the chief guest on the closing ceremony. The chief guest along with the School Principal, Dr R Prasad and Principal KV Chenani distributed prizes among the winners of various events on the occasion.
Throw Ball, Shooting and Table Tennis events were held at KV Sunjuwan. 62 participants from 6 KVs of the Jammu region participated in the meet under the supervision of Rajesh Sharma. TR Choudhary, Principal KV Damana was the chief guest who presided over the valedictory function.
Vice Principal Sushma Jain presented vote of thanks.
Meanwhile, a closing ceremony of the disciplines including roller skating, lawn tennis, chess and basketball of 43rd Regional Sports Meet was held on KV No 2 Jammu Cantonment, here.
CR Reddy, Nominee Chairman of VMC KV No. 2 Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, while Principal KV Damana, RK Bharti was the observer.
Later-on, the venue Principal M Laxmi Narayana presented vote of thanks.
