REASI, Apr 26: Kalka Mandir Dangal Committee is organizing 42nd International “Kundorian Arli (Katra) annual Dangal 2024 at village Kundrorian Arli behind Railway Station Katra from tomorrow.
The decision to this effect was taken in a meeting held at the venue of Dangal here today. The meeting was presided by social activist, prominent wrestling promoter, leading businessman and Hotelier Karnail Singh. Others who attended the meeting were Naresh Kumar ( Pappu Lakri) ,President Katra Indian Style Wrestling Association, Vijay Kumar, Ram Krishan, Mohan Lal ,Kaku, Krishan Singh, Om Parkash, Ram Chand, Bindu Sanmotra, Sham Lal Sanmotra, Rashid Mohd., Bablu, former Sarpanch ,Girdhari Lal and Nasib Chand.
Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakari) said about 42 invited wrestlers from Iran, Georgia and different States of India like Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, U.P, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir are likely to participate in the historic and famous Vishal Dangal. Cash prizes for the first malli bout is Rs 2 lakh, for the 2nd malli bout is Rs. 1.25 lakh for the one more second malli bout is Rs.1.25 lakh and for the third malli bout is Rs 1 lakh.
It was decided that the first malli bout will be played between Mirza of Iran against Monu Dhaiya of Delhi. 2nd malli bout will be played between Benia Min of J&K Police against Devinder of Kohali (Amritsar), another second malli bout will be played between Hedo of Georgia against Kalu of Barobal (Chandigarh) and third malli bout would be played between Akash of Delhi against Major of Dera Baba Nanak (Punjab).
The organizers said the decision of the referee in each bout will be final .Only invited wrestlers can participate and they must report at the venue ( Akhara) before 12 pm sharp. Wrestlers who come late are not allowed to participate.
