UDHAMPUR, Mar 19: Three Days Sports Meet, organised by Bhaskar Degree College in disciplines of Volleyball, Badminton, Kho-Kho and Kabaddi for both men and women concluded, here today.
Attar Chand, Programme Officer ICDS Udhampur was the chief guest, while Yashpaul Sharma, Project Officer ICDS was the guest of honour and chairperson of the host College, Madhu Khajuria MD, Ashok Khajuria, Dr SK Magotra Principal of the College, Dr Anita Bali, Principal of Bhartiya College of Education and Prof PL Suri, Principal Bhaskar Institute of Paramedical Sciences Udhampur also graced the event.
Dr SK Magotra, Principal of the College welcomed all the distinguished dignitaries and players.
In Badminton, Sumritika Bharti of Bhaskar Degree College stood winner in girls single category and Pallavi Rajput of Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur remained runner-up, whereas in girls doubles, Shilpa Sharma and Tanvi Thappa of Bhaskar Degree College clinched winner trophy and Tanvi Pandoh and Nishali Magotra of Bhartiya College of Education stood runner-up and 2nd runner-up trophy was secured by Ruby Sharma and Kiran Thakur.
In boys singles, Manmeet Singh was declared winner and in doubles Vanshaj Gupta and Manmeet Singh stood winners.
Bhaskar Degree College teams clinched both the trophies in boys and girls categories in Volleyball while in Kabaddi, the winner trophy was also clinched by Bhaskar Degree College, whereas in Kho-Kho, Bhaskar Degree College bagged winner trophy and Bhartiya College of Education Udhampur stood runner-up.
In Shortput, Bandana from Bhartiya College of Education was declared winner in girls category and Ankush from Bhaskar Degree College won the trophy in boys category.
Prof Narinder Singh was acted as commentator of the final matches. The trophies and mementos were distributed among the winners by the chief guest.
