3-day District Baramulla Wushu C’ship concludes

SRINAGAR, Nov 27: District Baramulla Wushu Championship, organised by District Association in collaboration with J&K Sports Council for Sub-junior, Junior and Senior boys and girls, concluded at Indoor Stadium Baramulla, here today.
About 200 participants participated in this championship, which was inaugurated by Joint Secretary Sports, Bashir Ahmad Bhat and concluded today with prize distributions wherein SSP Baramulla Rayees Ahmad Bhat was as chief guest who felicitated medal winners.
He applauded the efforts of the Association for organising the event and providing a platform for the young talented Wushu athletes. He assured all possible support to the players enabling them to prove their potential at national and international levels.
In his speech, the chief guest emphasised that the sports should be taken with sincerity and dedication and nothing is impossible in the world. There are so many role models in the country and the UT of J&K who have achieved the highest level at the international podium.
The president of the Municipal Council Baramulla, Taseef Raina was the guest of honour on the occasion.
Rehmat-e-Aalam Sports Academy was declared as winner of the championship, whereas AGS Zirn was declared as runner-up.
Manager Sports Council Baramulla and general secretary Jabeena Akhter and other prominent persons were also present during the event.
