21st Senior State Level Kabaddi Championship concludes

District Jammu wins twin titles

UDHAMPUR, Mar 31: 21st Senior State Kabaddi Championship for Men and Women, organised by Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association concluded here today.
Rakesh Jamwal, Director PDD Civil Secretariat Jammu was the chief guest on the concluding ceremony, who distributed the trophies and medals among the winner and runners-up teams.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of the organizing committee for successful conduct of the tournament.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Ashok Kumar, Director Sports SMVDU Katra; Kuldeep Gupta, CEO J&K Kabaddi Association; Surinder Mohan Gupta, General Secretary J&K Kabaddi Association; Sangram Singh, Treasurer J&K Kabaddi Association and Ankush Chib.
The tournament was organized under the patronage of Anil Gupta, President J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association under the Chairmanship of Sheikh Tanveer Ahmed, President Udhampur District Kabaddi Association and overall supervision of Ashok Kumar Sharma, General Secretary Udhampur District Kabaddi Association. Sanjay Sharma was the Coordinator of the tournament.
In men’s section, Jammu District defeated J&K Police team in a close contest by 12-10 in the final to win the title, while in women’s section, Jammu emerged winner by defeating Kathua by 55-15.
The matches were officiated by technical panel of experts of Youth Services & Sports Department including Ashwani Kumar, Bhim Sein, Kuldeep Sharma, Ajit Singh, Rakesh Kumar, Pushap Sharma, Rakesh Khajuria, Ramesh Chander, Naveen Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Vipin Photra, Pallavi Magotra , Deepak Sharma, Vicky Sharma and Ram Kumar.
