JAMMU, May 15: A 10 days Annual Training Camp (ATC-J3) for NCC Girl Cadets commenced at NCC Camping Ground, Nagrota, here.
The camp is being run by 2 J&K Girls Battalion NCC under the aegis of NCC Group Headquarters Jammu.
Around 500 Girl Cadets of various schools and colleges from 5 districts of J&K namely, Samba, Kathua, Reasi, Udhampur and Jammu are participating in this camp.
Associate NCC Officers are also the part of the camp for providing training to these cadets.
The camp commenced with the opening address of Camp Commandant CO 2 J&K Girls Bn NCC. He spoke about training, discipline and motto of NCC.
He motivated the cadets to involve themselves fully during the camp and participate in each and every activity.
During this camp, training would be imparted to the cadets on various subjects such a drill, weapon training, Map reading, first aid, adventure, self defence, military history, physical fitness, field craft and Battle craft.
With the aim to disseminate awareness on cleanliness and create a clean environment, the NCC cadets attending ATC camp carried out a massive cleanliness drive for the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan today.
They enthusiastically cleaned the surrounding areas of Nagrota.
