2-day Karate-Do C’ship culminates

JAMMU, May 15: The two-day Jammu Division Karate-Do championship organized by Traditional Karate Do Association, culminated at Indoor Sports Stadium Bhagwati Nagar, here today.
Around 430 students from various parts of Jammu Division participated in this championship. Ritika Jamwal, Manager of Sports Complex Bhagwati Nagar, was the chief guest during closing ceremony. She distributed medals and certificates to the winners.
Championship bouts were conducted under the supervision of Shihan Umesh Rekhi, Referee Commission Chairman (Traditional Karate-Do Association of Jammu and Kashmir) while Shashi Janotra and Bhawna Sadhotra were the technical director of the championship.
The vote of thanks was presented by Shihan Naresh Chander (president, Traditional Karate-Do Association of J&K). The matches were officiated by Tanisha Mahajan, Udhay Singh, Ravi Kumar, Neetu Devi, Naresh Bhagat, Pawan Choudhary, Raghav Saini, Smarth Jain, Tanisha Mahajan and Ajay Gil.
