2-day District Level Science Exhibition concludes

JAMMU, Aug 31: Two days 3rd District Level Science Exhibition 2013, under Innovation in Science pursuit for Inspire Research (INSPIRE) Award Scheme of Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt of India, organized by DIET Jammu, concluded at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, here.
A total of 88 models of District Jammu and 39 of District Samba were displayed in the Exhibition by the students of different institutions of both the Districts who have received Inspire Award warrant of Rs 5000 each for the year 2013.
HR Pakhroo, Joint Director (Trgs)/Principal SIE Jammu was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who was highly impressed by the hard work put in by the students in the Exhibition and lauded their scientific skills and talent on the occasion.
5 students in each District have been selected on merit for participating in the forthcoming State Level Exhibition.
Arif Iqbal Malik, Principal DIET Jammu presented welcome address and threw light on the benefits of the Scheme.
Colourful culture Programme was also displayed by the students of GHSS Shastri Nagar, GHSSS Nowabad and GHSS Canal Road on the occasion.
Kulbir Singh HoD presented vote of thanks and Tarsem Singh, Sr.Lecturer conducted the proceedings of the programme.
