JAMMU, Mar 24: First Shaheed Bhagat Singh Volleyball Tournament, organised by Mission Humanity First under Healthy Rural India, concluded at Mansar, here today.
The final match was played between Mansar Little Champs and Mansar Legends wherein Mansar Little Champs emerged as winner and Mansar Legends remained as runner-up.
Tilak Raj Bhardwaj, DySP Samba Headquarters was the chief guest of the closing ceremony, wherein Amandeep Singh Boparai, chairman Mission Humanity First, Lalit Khajuria senior journalist, Chandan Dutta social activist and Advocate Amit Sharma, DDC Councillor Majalta were also present.
A total of eight teams from Mansar and Udhampur district participated in this championship.
While speaking on the occasion, Amandeep Singh Boparai said that organizing this tournament was an effort of MHF to channelize the energy of youth in positive direction and build a better society by keeping our youth away from drugs and other social evils.
TL Bhardwaj, DySP Samba Headquarters said that it was a special feeling to witness the final match with players displaying the skills of high standards.
The event was organised by Anil Sharma, secretary MHF and his team.
Later, prize distribution function was held in which trophies, medals and sports jerseys were distributed among players by the chief guest.
Supinder Deep Singh Bakshi, general secretary MHF, Ajay Kumar UT secretary MHF, Avinjeet Singh, Mohinder Sharma and Bal Krishan were among other dignitaries who witnessed the occasion.
