KARGIL, Jan 27: The first edition of Kargil Motor Rally organised by Vehicleage Kargil Authorised Dealers of Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd was flagged off from Khree Sultan Cho Stadium here by Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Bassier-Ul – Choudhary and SSP Kargil Dr Vinod Kumar, Brigade Commander 121- Infantry Brigade.
The participants of the rally hoisted the Nation Flag at Hambutingla Pass-13800 ft, brazing minus 25 degrees.
This is the first winter rally organised in Kargil’s history to promote winter tourism and national integration.
The rally will cover the Batalic sector- Aryan valley, Chiktan valley- choskore-la and will end at tourist facilitation centre Kargil.
Twelve 4×4 SUVs , 25 participants covering 350km in the extreme weather conditions in the toughest Himalayan terrain were more than excited to be part of this winter rally History.
The rally was organised by vehicleage Kargil Mahindra Dealershiip in Kargil, sponsored by Hotel The Kargil, Hotel Zojila Residency, Hotel Royal Gasho, Magpie Enterprises, Promark Travels Delhi Travel partner and Hospitality partner Aryan Tours and Travels.
