JAMMU, Mar 31: The 16th J&K UT Level Rugby 7s Championship 2025 concluded at Synthetic Rugby Field, Polo Ground, Lal Chowk, Srinagar. Over two days of intense competition, teams from across Jammu & Kashmir showcased their skills and determination, with matches filled with powerful tackles and thrilling tries.
The Championship was graced by Hilal Ahmad (Manager Indoor Stadium) as the chief guest, along with prominent figures like Mohammad Iqbal, Irfan Aziz Botta, Fasil Ali Dar (President J&K Rugby) and Mohammad Safi Dar (Secretary General J&K Rugby). In the championship, Srinagar emerged victorious in both the Under 12 Boys and Senior Men categories, while Jammu claimed gold in Under 15 Boys, Under 15 Girls and Senior Women categories. Kupwara bagged the gold in the Under 12 Girls, Under 18 Male and Under 18 Female categories.
Bandipora clinched gold in both Under 18 Male and Female categories. Other notable winners included Anantnag (Silver in Under 12 Boys), Kulgam (Silver in Under 12 Girls and Senior Women), Kathua (Silver in Under 15 Boys), Baramulla (Bronze in Under 12 Boys), Samba (Bronze in Under 12 Boys), Ganderbal (Bronze in Under 12 Girls and Under 15 Girls), Pulwama (Bronze in Under 18 Female and Senior Women), Rajouri (Bronze in Under 18 Female), Shopian (Bronze in Under 15 Boys), and Poonch (Bronze in Senior Women).
