JAMMU, Aug 28: After crushing their rivals, 14 cueists made it to the second round of the ongoing 2nd District Jammu Six Red Ball Tournament, being organized by Jammu and Kashmir Billiards and Snooker Association at Billiards Hall, MA Stadium, here today.
Sharander Singh beat Abhi Gupta by 3-1 frames in the first match of the day, whereas in the second match, Abhishek Pathania defeated Saksham by straight 3-0 frames and in the third match, Vishal Abrol beat Samarth Amla by 3-2 frames.
In the fourth match, Rohit Karthol beat Zeeshan Ahmed by 3-2 frames, whereas in the fifth match, Vidit Gawri beat Sarthak Anand by 3-0 frames and in the seventh game, Shubham Sharma beat Monty by 3-1.
Aman Sharma beat Akhnir Tandon by 3-1 frames in the eighth match, whereas in the ninth match, Indepal Singh beat Ishuk Chowdhary by 3-0 frames and in the tenth match, Rohit Chowdhary defeated Abhishek Goswami by 3-1 frames.
In the eleventh match, Nikhil Kapahi defeated Abhishek by 3-0 frames, whereas in the twelfth match, Kuldeep Singh beat Arjun Chowdhary by 3-1 frames, in the thirteenth match, Ritin Sethi beat Mandeep Singh by 3-2 frames and in the fourteenth and last match of the day, Shubham Dubey registered win over Kunal by 3-1 frames.
Rakesh and Ashok acted as markers during the matches.
