DODA, Oct 18 : The indefinite hunger strike of All India Students Federation (AISF) Distt Council Doda today entered 13th day in support of their demand for starting PG classes in Doda Campus of University of Jammu and Commerce Stream in GDC Doda. The protest is led by Distt President AISF, Mukesh Parihar.
Various employees Associations of the Doda have announced to join the indefinite hunger strike of the students by sitting on dharna with them if the Government will not solve their demands at an earliest. The Employees Unions which are going to sit on dharna includes Handloom Non-Gazetted Employees Association province Jammu, Workers Supervisor Association Doda, Patwar Association Doda, Doda Low Paid employees, Medical Employees Association, both groups of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC) and PHE Workers Union.
Meanwhile the condition of two fasting students namely Mohd Saleem & Sunny Padha deteriorated but till date the administration has not taken any step and no doctor of the hospital visited the spot for last two days.
Today also number of student from Government Degree College Doda, Boys Higher Secondary School Doda, ITI College Doda and other Colleges participated in the Dharna.
The Federation is demanding immediate start of PG Classes in Doda Campus of University of Jammu, appointment of separate Rector for Doda University Campus, start of Commerce Stream in Government Degree College Doda, boys & girls Hostel at Distt HeadQuarter Doda and implementation of half fare charges to Students.
