ANANTNAG, Mar 31: The 10th J&K UT Tennis Ball Cricket Championship in Senior & Junior (Boys & Girls) concluded today at Govt Boys Higher Secondary School Bijbehara, here today.
The three days championship was played on league cum knockout basis wherein District Anantnag team emerged as champion in boys group in both junior and senior categories, while District Kulgam lifted the championship in girls category after defeating Anantnag.
Anantnag boys scored 43 runs in the stipulated eight overs, whereas Srinagar boys failed to chase the target and bundled out at 25 runs and lost the match.
The Principle of the HSS Bijbehara Anantnag was the chief guest who distributed trophies among winners and runners up teams.
About18 teams from 11 districts participated in the championship which was sponsored by the J &K Sports Council.
