Zorawar Hockey Club enters final of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Gold Cup

JAMMU, Aug 23: Defeating Young Star Hockey Club Simbal Camp by four goals to two (4-2) via tie breaker, Zorawar Hockey Club entered the finals of the on going 1st Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Jr Gold Cup Hockey Tournament, being organized by Young Star Hockey Club, under the aegis of Hockey J&K, here.
Earlier, the match ended in a (1-1) tie in the stipulated time, with Harsh Vaid scoring goal for Zorawar Club in 38th minute and Gagandeep Singh for Young Star in 40th minute of the match. Finally, the match was decided via tie-breaker, wherein Zorawar Club prevailed over Young Star by (3-1) to win the match by (4-2) goals.
The match was officiated by P P Singh, Jagjit Singh Reen, Parshotam Lal and Charanjeet Singh Labby.
Senior BJP leader, Dr Gagan Bhagat was the chief guest on the occasion, while S Rajinder Singh, S Ravinder Singh, S Manjeet Singh and S Charanjeet Singh were guests of honour.
