Zaiba Aapa CC wins trophy

SRINAGAR, June 7: Zaiba Aapa Cricket Club defeated Kulgam Tigers in the finals and lifted the title trophy, organised by the District Administration, here today.
Earlier, the winning team had defeated Srinagar in a knockout match along with Shopian-B team in the semi-finals during the tournament.
The trophies were distributed among winner and runner up teams. Both the captains of winning and runner-up teams including Rameez Ahmad Mir (Captain Zaiba Aapa CC) and Mashooq Ahmad Dar (Captain Kulgam Tigers) received the trophies from the chief guest of the event.
Speaking on occasion, the chief guest, Javed Ahmad Tak said that every team who participated in the tournament is the winner because of their overall performance. “The Government should give maximum opportunities to persons with disabilities to perform better in every field,” he asserted.
