KATRA, Sept 28: 2-day Youth Workshop on the topics “Youth, Society, Morality and Ethical Values in Present Scenario” and “Contribution of Sportspersons towards Society and Nation” concluded at Auditorium of SMVDSB, here today.
The presentation of group-wise outcome of the viewpoints and recommendations generated during group discussion was followed by presentation of awards and certificates.
B Mohandass, Deputy Chief Executive Officer was the chief guest on the occasion, while I D Soni, State Commissioner, Bharat Scouts and Guides and Educationist was the Special Guest, while Ashok Kumar Director Sports SMVDSB was instrumental in designing and organizing the Workshop.
Tanisha Sharma, representing Group-A, comprising of Roshi Devi, Shilpa Bharti and Rewa Rani, all from Government High School, Katra presented her paper, wherein she expressed that values are the fundamental belief and principles which help individual to differentiate between right and wrong, good and bad and sin and virtue, while Deepika Thakur head of the Group-B including Rimy, Amar Partap, Divya Goria from Amba Kids stressed upon the youth not to sit idle and plan things and share them with others for developing healthy society.
Ritika Bijral alongwith his partners Akash Pathania and Sachin Dev said that youth must act spontaneously the welfare of the needy and deserving sportspersons, while Group leader, Sheetal Thakur on behalf of her team mates Ashima Thakur and Vishal Sharma said that moral and ethical values have a greater role to play in India, having biggest democracy and diversified culture.
Dignitaries B Mohandass and I D Soni also spoke on the occasion.
