JAMMU, Dec 23: Young Rovers Football Club and Vijay Club scripted convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament 2018-19, being organised by J&K Football Association (DFA Jammu), here.
In the first match, Young Rovers Club defeated State Football Academy FC by a solitary goal (1-0). Ujjwal was the goal scorer for Young Rovers FC, who netted it 28th minute.
In another match, Vijay Club defeated Engineers XI again by a solitary goal. Sandeep was the goal scorer for Vijay Club, who scored it in 48th minute.
The matches were officiated by Ajay Singh, Romesh Kumar, Honey, Ricky Kumar, Dheeraj Menia, Abhishek Chandan and Rocky Sharma.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Bank Academy will take on Churchill Brothers at 1:30 pm, while NGR Football Club will lock horns with Mudda FC at 3 pm.
Prominent among others who witnessed today’s matches were Sheikh Mehmood, District President DFA Jammu, Nazir Ahmed (Vice President North), Charan Dass, Amardeep Singh and Rajesh Sumbria.
