Young Rovers outplays Param FC; Young Star holds Engineers XI to draw

JAMMU, Oct 5: Displaying extraordinary soccer skills, the players of Young Rovers pelted three magnificent goals to help their team beat Param Football Club by three goals to one (3-1) in the ongoing Senior Division Football League Tournament at GGM Science College Football ground, here today.
Dominating the game from the word go, Young Rovers scored the first goal through Avinash Kumar in the 12th minute, while Rahul Sharma of the same team increased the lead by pelting another goal in 18th minute of the match. The third goal from Young Rovers came from Rahul Ghai in 30th minute. The only goal from Param FC was scored by Bijender in the 60th minute.
In another match, Young Star held the Engineers XI to a goalless draw in a tough contest.
The matches were officiated by Suresh Gupta, Rakesh Kumar, Sohan Kumar and Gagandeep Singh.
In tomorrow’s fixture, Musa Club will take on Young Heroes at 12:30 pm, while Churchill Brothers will lock horns with NGR at 3:30 pm.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were organizing secretary, Narinder Gupta, Sheikh Mehmood, Varinder Gupta, Yousuf Don, David Masih, Satpal Singh, Rajesh Sumberia and Harbans Lal.
