KISHTWAR, June 12: The Department of Ayush Kishtwar, in collaboration with the District Administration Kishtwar, Education Department, J&K Sports Council and District Youth Services & Sports Department, organized the Yoga Championship 2025 at Government Degree College (GDC) Kishtwar.
The event aimed to promote wellness and encourage the public to adopt yoga for a healthy lifestyle. ACR Kishtwar Idrees Lone was the chief guest and emphasized the role of yoga in reducing stress and enhancing well-being. District Youth Services & Sports Officer Jaffer Haider Sheikh attended as guest of honour and appreciated the initiative.
Dr. Vikram Singh Jamwal, District Nodal Officer Ayush Kishtwar, thanked the administration for its support and announced future yoga workshops.
Winners included Ritesh Sen (Male, U-14), Ananya Bhagat (Female, U-14), Akash Kumar (Male, U-18), and Sanjeevani Kotwal (Female, U-18). They received certificates, trophies, and special recognition.
The event concluded with a student yoga demonstration and a vote of thanks by Dr. Atul Gupta (MO).
