YCET culminates Faculty Development Programme

JAMMU, July 27: The Mechanical Engineering Department of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) in collaboration with Institutions Innovation Council (IIC) today concluded Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Emerging Technologies in Mechanical Engineering (ETME-2020),” which started on July 24.
About 125 faculty members and research scholars across country as well as abroad participated.
The purpose of four days FDP was to meet the challenges posed by COVID-19 and minimize the impact of pandemic on academic activities. Prof (Dr) A K Srivastava, Director, YCET conceived the idea of the event on ETME. This FDP was fourth of its kind in the series during lockdown and was conducted using Google Meet.
The welcome address was given by Er Kuldip Raj Sharma, HoD, Mechanical Engineering Department and also the convenor of the FDP. He thanked all the participants and resource persons for their gracious presence while the introductory talk was given by coordinator, Er Arjun Singh.
The first day session was chaired by Dr Asjad Mokhtar, Assistant Prof at Darbhanga College of Engineering, Darbhanga. The second day session was chaired by Dr Ankush Anand, SMVDU Kakaryal. He addressed about “Essentials of sustainable design whereas Dr Sunil Shankar Waddar, Associate Professor of MVJ College of Engineering, Bangalore chaired third day session. He addressed about “Advanced Lightweight Composites”.
Dr B Satyasekhar, Assistant Prof at IIT Jammu chaired today session. He delivered lecture about “Solar Thermal Energy Technologies,” co-convenor, Neeraj Pandita facilitated question-answer round. E-certificates were provided to all the participants.
