JAMMU, Nov 20: Defeating Shiva XI convincingly in the first quarterfinals, Youngstar Cricket Club entered the semifinal of the ongoing 2nd Diwali Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Youth Welfare Association Simbal Camp at Government Boys High School, here today.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Shiva XI made 111 for all out in 19 overs. Jimmy scored 49 runs, while Goldy contributed 23 runs to the total.
For YCC, Kishore Sharma scalped 3 wickets by giving away 18 runs in 4 overs, while Aman, Shanu and Parveen Kumar took one wicket each.
YCC, in reply chased the target in just 11 overs for the loss of 4 wickets, thus won the match by 6 wickets. Jagandeep Singh top scored with 55 runs and Talvinder Singh contributed 40 runs to the total. For Shiva XI, Kishore took 3 wickets, which included hat-trick. He conceded 10 runs in 2 overs. Jagandeep Singh was adjudged as man of the mtch.
The match was officiated by Kulbir Singh (Physical Education Master) and Gurvinderpal Singh as umpires, while Gurmeet Singh maintained the scorebook.
