KATRA, Mar17: J&K Police wrestler Nisar Ahmed was declared winner of 23rd Shiv Khori Kesari Dangal, whereas Navdeep was announced as runner-up , organised at Government High School Ransoo, here today.
In 2nd bout, Ajay Sharma of Udhampur defeated Keshav of Chand Roop Akhara Delhi, whereas 3rd bout was clinched by Sunil of Delhi by defeating Muneer of Nagrota and 4th bout was clinched by Surjit of Reasi by beating Varinder of Panipat besides Rashid of Jammu defeated Bablu of Basantgarh, Salman defeated Laikat Ali. Two women bouts were also played wherein Arfana of ITI Reasi trounced Sonika of GHS Pouni and Rajni of Bhambla beat Zaida of Pouni.
The Dangal was organized by J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association in collaboration with J&K Tourism Department, Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board Ransoo (Reasi), Shiv Khori Dangal Committee and District Administration Reasi.
Former Minister, Ajay Nanda was the chief guest, whereas DDC Chairman Saraf Singh Nag was the guest of honour and DDC Member Kewal Krishan Sharma and BDC Chairman Ashok Singh were the special guests.
Nearly 42 bouts were played during the Dangal in which local wrestlers along with wrestlers from Haryana and Delhi participated.
